Responsibilities:

POSITION PURPOSE
Overall responsibility for all human resources functions in a 9-13 plant region. Work directly with the Regional Operations Director (ROD) in support of the region's financial and performance goals.

Duties:

* Provide Human Resource support to a RegionalManufacturingorganization.
* First line contact for Plant Management regarding all human resource activities. Manages employee relations activity and effectively coordinates other HR support to ensure that Plant needs are met in timely, high-quality fashion for staffing, compensation, development, recognition/reward, relocation and other HR related services.
* Develop and ensure alignment of various Human Resource initiatives to business and functional strategies and effectively manage change initiatives for these organizations.
* As an active member of the regional leadership team, advise and influence various levels of management on all aspects of people management and leadership and actively participate in staff meetings, leadership meetings and business meetings with Plant Managers and the Regional Operations Director.
* Facilitate initiatives focused on enhancing employee effectiveness and development including: Talent Reviews (potential ratings, succession plans, development plans), Objective Setting (annual targets and alignment sessions) and Performance Management (mid-year and annual appraisals and calibration sessions), Training/Development (leadership and management training and development initiatives), Employee Surveys (communication/action planning), etc.
* Train and supervise HR plant representatives.
* Works closely with Manufacturing Management on organizational change initiatives. (Reorganizations, talent upgrades, promotions, reductions in force, performance improvement plans, separations and related communications). Ensures that organizational change efforts are managed effectively and in a legally defensible manner.
* Learn the business in order to partner with internal customers and provide the optimal HR solutions.
* Strong business support focus on employee relations, recruiting, compliance (FMLA, ADA, EEO) and policy interpretation.
* Work on corporate initiative project teams with other HR Managers to continuously improve service of the HR department
* Onboard all new plant salaried staff members.


Qualifications:


Education Required:
* Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource management , business or a related field
* PHR or SPHR designation

Experience and Skills Required:
* 5+ years of progressive human resource generalist experience or a combination of human resource and business experience in amanufacturing environment.
* Consultative skills, project management, customer service, negotiation and influencing skills.
* Demonstrated experience in: Employee Relations, Performance Management Consulting, Organizational Development/Effectiveness, Change Management and Compensation;
* Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal communication and coaching skills
* Organizational savvy with the ability to work comfortably with all levels within organization
* Business acumen – ability to understand business strategy and identify and execute HR initiatives that align and support the strategy
* Proficient on MS office applications.
